Berwyn’s Spirit Light Outreach Prison
Ministry Receives Donation from National Society
Joe Wolfe, Director of
Spirit Light Outreach Prison Ministry, has recently been
awarded a donation of 100 copies of A Course in
Miracles textbook by the Course in Miracles
Society, Omaha, NE.
“We have been looking for
over a year for a viable channel through which to bring the
message of the Course to prisoners, persons in 12-step
programs, and the physically challenged,” says, Tom
Whitmore, Director of the Course in Miracles
Society. “Joe Wolfe’s outreach
program was a perfect fit.”
Joe receives hundreds of
requests from prisoners each year for spiritual support. His
own incarceration experience led him to A Course in
Miracles, to write about his mystical experiences
in prison, and led him to launch Spirit Light Outreach. He
says, “I am grateful to Tom and the Course in Miracles
Society who have supported our initiatives. While there are
so many more to thank, I most importantly thank The Holy
Spirit for providing the means to deliver the message of
peace and light to our brothers whose cries for help have
now been answered.”
Joe is a regular presence at
The Peace Center, 6833 Stanley Avenue in Berwyn, where he
leads A Course in Miracles study group every Sunday at 2:30
pm. Call the Peace Center 708-749-8888 if you want to donate
time to the project, wrapping packages, or assist with
shipping materials and postage. All gifts are welcome and
monetary donations are tax deductible.
