About The Peace Center

The Peace Center is a Not for Profit Organization

The Peace Center is a DBA of The Center for the New Humanity, a tax exempt organization of charitable purposes as defined under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Service Code. A Board of Trustees oversees the financial activity of the The Peace Center as well as support for its programming.

The Peace Center formerly operated a brick and mortar facility in Berwyn's historic Depot District. Currently, it operates as a virtual organization, renting physical facilities as needed. Its first IRS 501(c)3 ruling was as a religious organization. In 2015, The Center filed for and received a redetermination of its status as an educational institution from the IRS.

The Peace Center received a gold seal of transparency from Guide Star, the world's largest source of information on nonprofit organizations. See our profile on file at Guide Star.
